It is never to early to start your Christmas shopping. In fact I bought several presents a couple of days after Christmas. Before Christmas, there were some things I would really have liked to buy but time and money had expired. So I went back a couple of days after Christmas and low and behold those things were marked way down. So not wanting to miss a thrifty opportunity, I snapped them up. Even though I have not made it around to all the stores where things are marked down, I am thankful for the deals I found.
In the past I have had most of my shopping done and the tree up by Thanksgiving. When I did this I did not get sucked up in all the hurry around, rush antics which happened to me this year. In December, as I stood in Joann's for one hour and twenty minutes getting some material cut and then the checkout line, I made a Christmas resolution. No more of this last minute mess for me. I am going to start my shopping the day after Christmas and continue to do it all year long. When it was done early I got to really enjoy the festivities and all the joy Christmas brings without the chaos that erupts because of poor planning.
I know Christmas has not been over very long but it is never to early to get ready and be thrifty.
Happy Early Thrifty To You!
