Free Fall Printable

Good Morning!

What else can you write about with this fall weather we are enjoying? Hopefully the rain we have been getting will make the trees show off their beautiful colors. It really has been several years since we have had much more than a brown, brown and more brown fall. I'm so ready for some color. Aren't you?

Speaking of color check out this little free printable reminder of all things fall. I downloaded it from a blog "Thrifty Decor Chick". She is my kind of girl.

I wanted to put it in a frame but it was a funny size (5x71/2). There wasn't any way to cut part of it off in order to use a regular size frame so off to my resource store ... Goodwill. I picked out an 8x10 gold frame and figured I could make something work. Cost of the frame $2.99. Then I went next door to Hobby Lobby thinking I would get some scrapbook paper and cut my own mat for the frame. I could not make up my mind so I got three different papers to try. Cost for all three $1.20. They were 40% off. You've got to stay thrifty.

I got my razor blade knife out to cut the scrapbook paper to fit the 8x10 frame then I cut the fall printable out so I would have the correct size to make the mat. When I got it all cut out and the printable taped in place I placed all of it in the frame.

So here is the finished picture. Of course I have seen all the pieces of wood with the fall words stenciled on them and the pictures sort of like this one in Hobby Lobby and T.J. Maxx but not for the thrifty price of $4.10. Here's the best thing about it there are a lot of free printables for every season and reason. Now that I have the initial investment down, all I have to do is change the scrapbook paper and insert the printable. Now you may just be one step ahead of me and already have the frame. So all you have to do is add your printable with or without the scrapbook mat.

Have a wonderful week and be thrifty!
