In the February issue of Country Living, there is a wonderful thrifty article, three boys, two parents and one 665 square foot cabin. I was mesmerized as I read this article. This family went broke through no fault of their own and lost pretty much everything. The amazing part is how the story ends with their new 665 square foot cabin. They designed and furnished it with things from thrift stores and things they did "for cheap". American ingenuity is a gift from God.
Carmella, the mom, has a great eye for a good find and she is extremely creative. They are brave and very courageous as they share the events which happened to them and how they recovered. What an encouragement to others who have experienced similar disasters. Thank goodness there are magazines who will print something which includes used and old hand me downs instead of only having ads from the prominent furniture stores.
This family represents the essence of thrifty. They are not only thrifty with their furnishings and decor but their square feet as well. Thank you, Country Living for this wonderful, eye opening article.Thank you, McCafferty family, for being real and sharing your loss so it may become our gain.
I hope you will rush out and buy the Country Living, February issue and get your thrifty fired up!
Happy" Thrifty Encouragement" to You!!
